About WhoHeld
The record of the Buy Box, kept for vendor brands.
WhoHeld keeps the record of the Buy Box for vendor brands on Amazon. We track who held the Buy Box on your products, over time, on each market you sell in, and what that cost you. We measure. We do not guess, and we never say who caused what.
Why WhoHeld exists
WhoHeld was built by a vendor practitioner. Our founder ran an Amazon vendor business for fifteen years and set up a balanced model with third party partners. During those years, the Buy Box changed hands every day on his products, and nobody kept the record. Vendor Central showed what had been sold. It never showed who held the button while the brand was not selling, why the button had disappeared, or what it had cost. WhoHeld is the platform he wanted then.
How we work
The platform has run in production since July 2026. It is available on eleven Amazon marketplaces: France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, India. Our market data comes under a written commercial license from a market data provider established in the European Union. Our catalog cadences are written into the contract, with a minimum number of observations per month per product: your catalog is refreshed every 24 hours for the products on your Hyper Care list and for 30 days after a Buy Box loss, at least every 28 days otherwise, and in Lead+ a hero pack of 50 products is checked every hour. The wider market is swept monthly, without a contractual commitment. Every screen shows when its data was last refreshed. Our method for demand weighted Buy Box share is handed to every client on day one.
What we do not do
We do not reprice, and we never suggest a price, for you or for anyone else. We do not run ads. We do not sell to third party sellers. We do not say whether a seller is authorized: only you know that. We observe, and we write down what we observed.
The company
WhoHeld is a French simplified joint-stock company (SASU) registered in Aix-en-Provence (RCS 130 164 783). Our contract, our data protection documents and our procurement response file are ready for your purchasing, IT security and data protection reviews. Our information notice for observed sellers is written in five languages.
We serve vendor brands and the distributors and agencies they appoint. We serve competing brands in the same category, and we say so: isolation between clients is enforced at the database level, and nothing is published about your category without your written consent.
